# Remediation Summary

> The Remediation Summary explains what Backline changed, why the remediation was performed, and how the fix was verified. It provides a clear, high-level explanation of the remediation outcome so you can quickly understand the impact and safety of the change.

This section appears in the **Remediation side panel → Details tab** once remediation analysis or execution is complete.

## What the Summary Includes

The summary provides a concise overview covering:

* **Why the Remediation Was Needed** <br />
  Number of vulnerabilities addressed and their highest severity.

* **What Backline Analyzed and Changed** <br />
  Packages upgraded, upgrade strategy, and whether breaking changes were identified.

* **Verification and Safety Checks** <br />
  Build, test, and validation steps performed to ensure the fix is safe.

* **Remediation Outcome** <br />
  Whether remediation succeeded, partially succeeded, or failed, with a high-level explanation.

This helps you quickly understand both the **risk reduction** and the **confidence level** of the remediation.

## Viewing Full Remediation Details

Click **See more details** to open the full remediation report, which includes:

* Detailed analysis and upgrade reasoning
* Package-level changes
* Breaking change assessment
* Verification steps and results

You can also copy the full report for sharing or auditing.
